(Solved: I loaded the latest files from github. -> It works great now!)

Answer:I assume you tried to install the app manually instead of simply activating it in the apps section of your ownCloud? If so, the reason why you get those issues most likely is because of the folder name you picked whilst unpacking the apps files. This is a general problem in ownCloud, nothing app specific. There are a few issues in github dealing with different symptoms of this problem. And it is also explained in the installation guideline bundled with the app:

Take care _not_ to use a colon ("-") as part of the folder name when manually installing an app. The app installer inside ownCloud stumbles in that case and complains about missing stuff. This is actually pretty silly, since it does find the app and starts installing it but then is unable to find it again after having done so. So I suggest you simply name the folder "fluxx_compensator", note the underscore ("_") in the name. That should prevent the issues you saw which are only derived problems.

Alternatively try to not manually install the app, as ownCloud itself will take care of downloading, unpacking and installing the app if you simply "activate" it inside the apps section of your ownCloud. This is the preferred way to install apps, since it is much more convenient.
