KDEGames

KDE
Description:

KDEGames is a division of the
K Desktop Environment project.

The main focus of our team is to provide desktop users with high quality gaming and entertainment software.

We realize that games are first and foremost about fun and our greatest ambition is to create only the most enjoyable and amusing playware.
The KDEGames team achieves this goal by paying greater attention to gaming details, using the latest KDE based technology, and listening closely to our users' feedback.

To date KDEGames has accumulated an impressive selection of quality games in nearly all genres. Each of these small masterpieces has been carefully tailored to satisfy the demands of all, even the most pretentious gamers.

If you had to choose a single new game to add to the Existing KDEGames pack, what game would it be?

I was wondering about what happened to KSirtet? Why wasn't it ported to KDE4?

Unfortunately it is such a large, and over patched code, that no one wants to take up the task. However, a totally new awesome Tetris game will (hopefully) be released as soon as KDE 4.1

Well, that's a big request right there :P
Technically KDEGames does have a 'strategy' game – Konquest, but it's rather simple, and in my humble opinion is in need of redesign. If only someone would step in and propose the redesign to game's developer...

Yes, I know. I just listed it because I think it is a great game, with low video requirements. AI programming is another issue... :)

 New KDEGame!

It is our pleasure to welcome a new game into our selection. Kollision – a wonderful, addictive, and in every way innovative game straight from the lab of our gaming guru Paolo Capriotti. While it may seem very simple at the first glance, Kollision is one of the harder games in the whole gamedom, and what's best - it's all about high score. And all you have to do really, is to stay game for as long as possible.

Please see the news section of games.kde.org for more information.
