KDE - Jan 24 2014
not answered
Question:If you need to view and edit HDR-CX330 AVCHD in iMovie 11 you may have some problems. The Sony has just announced several new Handycam camcorders at CES 2014. Compared to HDR-CX240, the HDR-CX330 uses a Sony G lens, which offers a wider 35mm equivalent focal length of 26.8mm, and a more powerful zoom range, with 30x optical zoom and 60x Clear Image Zoom. Like the HDR-PJ275, it also adds Wi-Fi/NFC connectivity. The same notable upgrade is both the two cameras have the ability to record high-quality AVCHD video while simultaneously recording web-optimized MP4 video.

Here is an example. A Panasonic user has an MTS file of 4GB, codec H.264/MP4 AVC and bitrate 9kbps. When he imports this into iMovie it creates a MOV of 30GB with codec Apple Intermediate Codec and an average bitrate of 8Mbps. He wondering if there is an efficient conversion to avoid the massive increase in file size and keep the quality. Well, at this point, Aunsoft MTS Converter for Mac does pretty good job. Someone’s weakness is someone’s merit. It solves th problem that iMovie 11 and earlier version will transcode AVCHD into AIC, greatly increasing file size, reducing video quality and wasting a lot of time in the process. The advanced technology and the clear interface it use make the timesaving conversion process effective and efficient with only 3 or 4 steps. You can free download Aunsoft MTS Converter for Mac.

Lacking solution to do MTS to DivX conversion? MTS Converter works. The crucial point is you won't have the problem to achieve high quality and good playback rates at the expense of larger files. And you can preset AVCHD settings via reseting video size, video frame rate, audio tracks, etc. For 1080 50i/60i footage, you can quickly deinterlace for flawlessly viewing with one click.
